About the project Inclusive: The transferable skills of the dance artist
The project was initiated to contribute to wider perspectives and practices of dance in a variety of contexts in and outside the arts. The international co-operation was formed with Fontys Dance Academy, Royal Conservatoire Antwerp – Artesis Plantijn University College, Duncan Centre Prague, Dans Brabant/Tilburg Dansstad, Demos Antwerp and Parkinson Help vz.
De project’s research is grounded in the themes Re-designing Spaces, Re-Thinking Bodies and Somatics. The chosen approach is inclusive; inclusiveness of body-mind, sectors, groups with diverse abilities, spaces and practices. The possibilities of dance in other contexts and/or sectors and vice versa lead to; an understanding of transferable skills of the dance artist, (re)new(ed) (educational) practices, on-/offline sharing and learning with digital means and a growing learning community around this valuable topic.
