INTEGRANCE is a two-year (2013-2015) European Programme between StopGap Dance Company (UK), Indepen-Dance (UK), MicaDanses (FR) and Platform-K (BE). It focusses on strengthening EU artistic collaboration: sharing and developing knowledge and expertise between each other, promoting integration and cultural development, improving artistic skills and so providing high quality performances.
The key focus of this collaboration is to consolidate recognition of inclusive dance as an important part of the performing arts. “Art is for everyone and it can actually benefit everyone.” (George Adams)
Choreographer George Adams worked with every company for one week in every country and finalized the performance in barely four days. The common theme of integration involves dancers with different abilities, cultures, ages and nationalities.

The four companies joining the INTEGRATION project:
- StopGap Dance Company (UK): Company under artistic direction of Lucy Bennett and committed to making discoveries about integrating disabled and non-disabled people through dance. Their work reaches people through performance, professional training, community outreach and publications.
- Indepen-Dance (UK): Founded by Karen Anderson in 1996 and operating from the vision of ‘creating opportunities for people with diverse abilities and their carers to enjoy, express and fulfill their potential through dance.’
- Platform-K (BE): Company which sets up projects that persons with disabilities and mainstream artists challenge to collaborate on new forms of artistic creation, dance and movement language.
- MicaDanses (FR)
